The Central European Initiative (CEI) has recently launched a project in collaboration with the Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata (ANSA) to promote sustainable agriculture practices across Central and Eastern European countries. This initiative aims to address the growing concerns related to environmental degradation, climate change, and food security. The project focuses on providing training and technical assistance to farmers, agricultural extension services, and other stakeholders to adopt sustainable agricultural practices. The CEI and ANSA partnership will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices among participating countries. The project will also support the development of policies and strategies to promote sustainable agriculture at the national and regional levels. Furthermore, the initiative will encourage the use of innovative technologies and approaches to improve agricultural productivity while minimizing environmental impacts. The CEI and ANSA will work closely with local communities, farmers’ organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the project’s success and sustainability. The project’s outcomes are expected to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). The CEI and ANSA partnership will also facilitate regional cooperation and coordination among participating countries to address common challenges and opportunities in the agricultural sector. The project will be implemented over a period of two years, with a total budget of €500,000. The CEI and ANSA will provide technical assistance, training, and capacity-building programs for farmers, agricultural extension services, and other stakeholders. The project will also support the development of a regional network of farmers, agricultural experts, and policymakers to promote sustainable agriculture practices. In addition, the initiative will organize regional workshops, conferences, and seminars to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable agriculture and to share best practices among participating countries. The CEI and ANSA will also establish a project website and social media platforms to disseminate information, news, and updates about the project’s activities and outcomes. Overall, the CEI-ANSA project is expected to make a significant contribution to promoting sustainable agriculture practices in Central and Eastern European countries, improving food security, and reducing environmental degradation. The project’s success will depend on the active participation and engagement of all stakeholders, including farmers, agricultural extension services, policymakers, and local communities. The CEI and ANSA are committed to working together to ensure the project’s success and to promote sustainable agriculture practices in the region.
